Open the manager
Find Current supplements & medications on the dashboard and choose Manage. If you previously hid the widget, choose Add widget and restore Supplements & Meds. The manager groups saved records into:
Only current records appear in the compact dashboard timeline. The history count tells you when additional saved records are available in Manage.
Add an item manually
Choose + Add New, then fill only the details you know.- Under Identity, enter a name and choose Supplement or Medication. Brand, generic or active name, dosage form, and route are optional.
- Under Product label, keep the printed serving size and label directions separate from how you personally use the product.
- Under Your regimen, record personal directions, schedule, uses per day, and one or more use periods.
- Add formulated substances under Active ingredients. Enter the amount per serving and choose a unit. A row-specific
×/dayvalue overrides the record-level Uses/day value for that ingredient. - Put fillers, coatings, capsule shells, flavors, sweeteners, and similar materials under Other label ingredients instead of treating them as active doses.
- Add an indication, clinician, notes, or an end/pause reason if they will help you interpret the history later.
- Choose Add. Nothing is saved before this confirmation.
mg, mcg, g, mL, IU, CFU, %, mmol, mEq, units, capsules, tablets, drops, scoops, sprays, and patches. Choose Other… for a unit not in the list. Imports can normalize common unit spellings and several non-Latin unit labels while preserving the original product wording.
Describe the schedule
Choose the closest schedule and add plain-language details when needed.
PRN records are never assumed to be an exposure on a particular day because the schedule describes permission to use a therapy, not proof that it was used.
Preserve pauses, endings, and dose changes
Each use period has a start date, optional end date, and optional period-specific dose or strength. A blank end date means the period is open.- Pause closes the open period today and moves the record out of Current while keeping it ready to restart.
- End closes the open period today and moves the record to History.
- Restart opens a period beginning today. If you paused or ended earlier today, it reopens that period instead of creating an overlapping duplicate.
- Change dose prepares the current period to close yesterday and adds a new period today. Enter the new dose, then choose Update to save both changes. If the current period already began today, it focuses that period’s dose field instead.
- Delete permanently removes the record and its complete usage history. Ending is usually preferable when the past exposure matters.
Import from a product link or label photos
Imports create a draft for review; they never silently save or replace a record.Review a product link
Paste anhttp or https product page into Import product facts, then choose Review link. getbased first reads structured page facts and relevant label, ingredient, and quality tables. When an AI provider is configured, it can classify ambiguous content into active ingredients, other ingredients, and laboratory results. If a site blocks automated reading, use label photos for the missing facts.
Review label photos
With a vision-capable AI model selected, choose Review photos and add up to four JPG, PNG, or WebP images. For best results, include:- the front label;
- Supplement Facts or Drug Facts;
- directions; and
- a certificate of analysis or quality table, if relevant.
Select and edit the draft
The review separates active ingredients, other label ingredients, laboratory/quality results, label directions, and warnings.- Uncheck facts you do not want to import. Select only contaminants + microbiology is a quick quality-result filter.
- Choose Continue to editable form.
- Correct every imported field, enter your personal regimen and dates, and verify that a report applies to your bottle.
- Choose Add or Update to save.
Record laboratory and quality evidence
Quality rows stay separate from active ingredients. Supported categories are contaminants/heavy metals, potency/label claim, microbiology, identity/purity, and other laboratory results. For each report, set Report relationship to your bottle to one of:- I confirmed the same lot;
- Different lot;
- General specification, not a bottle result; or
- Not verified / unknown.
ND, NQ, < 0.5, units, and measurement basis. It does not treat ND or NQ as zero. It also does not convert concentrations such as mg/kg into a personal intake.
The Current contaminant overview combines a reported daily mass only when all of the following are true:
- you confirmed that the report matches your bottle lot;
- the result is a compatible mass per serving or per unit;
- the serving size and personal uses per day are known; and
- the schedule is not PRN.
How therapy records affect the rest of getbased
- Charts can show every saved period that overlaps the visible lab range, including completed courses.
- Impact Analysis compares lab results before and after a therapy period when at least two lab dates are available. Its short AI summary is a correlation aid, not proof that the item caused the change.
- AI context normally includes current items or records overlapping the selected lab range. A supplement- or medication-specific question can unlock a larger, bounded view of saved history. Detailed quality methods stay out of ordinary prompts, and paused/ended inventory is summarized when it is not directly relevant.
- Biology Scores and Current Focus use bounded therapy context so a large product or COA record cannot crowd out your primary health data.
- Reports, exports, backups, and encrypted sync preserve the structured record and its periods.
